My eyes peering skyward
Attuned to the voice
That would never fear waking
The world with its noise

Scream and sing
Wail and wake
Fall to fly
Dawn will break

Birdsong broadens belief
Above and below
No doubt that begs relief

Raptor redbeaked rising
Small songbirds align
Breaking branches burdened
